Why genealogy?
In founding Beyond History I have made my hobby a profession. It all started with me exploring my family history to learn where I come from. I also traveled to the places where my ancestors lived once. That gave me an idea of their lives. The knowledge about my family background and especially visiting these places is very emotional and still indescribable. Me and my team love to make this experiences possible for the clients of Beyond History.

- Apprenticeship as certified foreign language secretary
- Apprenticeship in hotel management at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg
- Training at the Film School at New York University
- Worked for 10 years in New York in luxury hotels and upscale group travel industry
- Training in "Management for executive managers" at Hamburg University
- Chairwoman of the Association of German speaking Professional Genealogists since 2013

Why genealogy?
I like the contact and conversations with people and I have always been interested in history. Since I have met a brick wall in my own family research, I help others to uncover their history. Because: „It wouldn’t be as it is today, if it wouldn’t have been as it was before.“

Why genealogy?
Playing detective and indulging in and sharing my passion for history and (very personal) stories – that is the special appeal of my work at Beyond History. Helping others with their journey through their family history is very rewarding.
