We help you to sponsor a „Stolperstein“
The project “Stolpersteine” of the artist Gunter Demnig originated in the 1990s. It commemorates the expulsion and extermination of the numerous victims of National Socialism. Since the year 2000 Demnig installs so-called „Stolpersteine“ (stumbling stones) with the names and life data of the individual victims of the Nazi regime throughout Europe.
It is of particular importance, where the “Stolpersteine” are placed. After all, the majority of the victims were systematically ghettoized and subsequently deported to concentration and extermination camps by the Nazis. However, Demnig places the commemorative stones very deliberately in front of the buildings that were the persecuted people’s last addresses of choice.
Should you have relatives who fell victim to the National Socialist persecution, it is possible to sponsor a “Stolperstein”.
We will gladly help you to research the fate of your relatives and will contact Gunter Demnig and his team, if required. We will also assist you with the application to obtain authorization from the local authorities for the installation of the stone.
