This year, the 43rd IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy takes place in London between 30 Jul and 03 Aug 2023. Andrea Bentschneider will be there as a speaker with two very interesting lectures.

Due to the great success of Andrea Bentschneider's Q & A sessions at RootsTech, this format will now take place outside of the conference: On Saturday, 24 June 2023, 09:30 p.m. (CEST), Andrea Bentschneider will answer your questions about genealogy in Germany live and in English. The session for FamilySearch will be an hour long.

On 29 April at 02:00 p.m. Eastern Time (USA and Canada) Andrea Benschneider will once again hold her webinar on the topic "German Emigration in the 19th Century” for the Pomeranian Special Interest Group (PSIG).

On 13/14/15 April 2023, Legacy Family Tree Webinars and MyHeritage will host „The 24-Hour Genealogy Webinar Marathon“ for the fourth time. Again, there will be (more than) 24 hours of live webinars on very different genealogical topics to discover. As the only speaker from Germany, Andrea Bentschneider will be participating again this year.

We are very happy about the nice article titled "NS-Zeit: Was hat Opa zwischen 1933 und 1945 gemacht?" (Nazi era: What did grandpa do between 1933 and 1945?), which has been published online on the websites of the German FUNKE Mediengruppe (FUNKE media group) newspapers yesterday, 16 Feb 2023, and today, 17 Feb 2023, also in the print edition of e.g. the Hamburger Abendblatt (in the main section under politics) on page 4.

Since yesterday evening, on 09 February 2023, an interesting article with tips on how to get started with genealogical research by Christopher Chirvi was published in the digital edition of the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung, among others. For this article Andrea Bentschneider was interviewed. Today, on 10 February 2023, it was also published in the print editions of the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung and in the newspapers of the Schleswig-Holsteinischer Zeitungsverlag, among others.

It's that time again: The German genealogy festival Genealogica will take place from 10 to 18 February 2023! We are looking forward to the third year of this fine event. And of course Andrea Bentschneider will be there again as a speaker.

After an exciting talk last spring at THE Genealogy Show: Spring Event, Andrea Bentschneider is now joining the winter edition of the virtual genealogy show, too - with a talk on Jewish genealogy in Germany and Poland!

Hip, hip, hooray! It is Beyond History’s birthday soon - and not just any birthday! Almost 18 years ago, Andrea Bentschneider founded Beyond History on 01 July 2004, turning genealogy, a hobby up until then, into her profession. This means, now we come of age, so to speak!

The German genealogy festival Genealogica is going into its second year and of course we and especially our boss Andrea Bentschneider and we will be there again! Again completely virtual, Genealogica will take place from 01 to 03 April 2022 (the event site can still be visited until 15 April 2022 at 09:00). Again Andrea Bentschneider will be present as a speaker and Beyond History and the Association of German-speaking Professional Genealogists will again be represented with booths.

We are very excited that Andrea Bentschneider will be a speaker at this year’s THE Genealogy Show: Spring Event! As in 2021 it will be a virtual event taking place from Friday, 01 April to Sunday, 03 April 2022. And there will be two further events later this year (July and December).

RootsTech is the world’s largest family history conference. As in 2021, the conference will in 2022 again be completely virtual and free of charge. And Andrea Bentschneider will be one of the speakers this year - with several sessions.

2022 starts well for us - with a nice interview with Andrea Bentschneider in the current issue of the German magazine SPIEGEL Geschichte.

In the TV and leisure magazine "auf einen Blick" from 26 August 2021, an article on our favorite topic appeared, including information from an interview with Andrea Bentschneider.

Gradually, as corona numbers fall, the archives in Germany are opening again. The research situation continues to normalize, and we are of course very happy about that.

On 29 April 2021, Andrea Bentschneider was once again on German radio. In the "Annette-Radüg-Show" on the rock station RADIO 21 she was talking about genealogy to the host.
